Japanese carmaker
Nissan is planning to launch as many as five new cars in India this year.
Nissan which has had a successful year in terms of sales following the launch
of the Sunny sedan in diesel, has not followed it with more models that
captured the imagination of car buyers. So it has decided to look at improved
new products in 2013 to gain a larger market share. In fact Nissan India is
planning to achieve an overall market share of 10% in India within a few years.
Nissan's new cars will be ranging from an entry level small car to a new SUV.
Nissan is also working on launching its low cost car brand Datsun in India. The
first Datsun car could be unveiled by late 2013 with a possible launch in Early
2014. The following are the five new cars that Nissan India is planning to
launch in 2013.
Nissan Motor India Pvt Ltd (NMIPL) is set to launch at least five new offerings in the country in 2013. As we had reported a few days back, the first of the new launches from Nissan for 2013 will be the automatic variant of the Nissan Sunny. The automatic transmission will be mated to the 1.5-litre petrol engine that propels the Sunny and puts out 99 PS of power and 134 Nm of torque. We expect the automatic variant of the Sunny petrol to be available in XL and XV trims (mid and top) with a pricing between Rs 7.25 lakh to Rs 8 lakh. The Sunny automatic is expected to be launched in India between January and February 2013.
