General Motor’s small and sporty hatchback – BEAT was launched in 2010 in a petrol version only. Later in 2011, an LPG and diesel version were released. Beat has proved to be one of the best selling cars in India. The company has sold more than 1 lakh units in just 2011. Beat has a great combination of style, interiors, efficiency and comfort. It is a brilliant “value for money” car.
The design of Beat is pretty funky with a
special character that is alluring. The car sports diamond shaped
headlamps and a wide front grille that is a trade-mark of the Chevrolet
family, round fog lamps with chrome lining, stunning alloy wheels,
silver roof rails, door handles near the C-pillar. The hatchback has
lovely interiors with an advanced instrument panel, airconditioning
system, sound system and comfortable seating.

Beat is powered by SMARTECH II engine equipped with Port deactivation
technology, dual overhead cam and EGR. The petrol engine delivers a
displacement of 1100cc and is highly fuel efficient. The diesel variant
is powered by 1.0L 3 cylinder XSDE SMARTECH common rail diesel engine
which is also highly fuel efficient. This engine is equipped with launch
support logic that allows you to drive easily over slopes. the diesel
engine is also supported by advanced insta-torque boost and electronic
throttle. The company has incorporated a number of safety features in
the car such as front dual airbags, front seat belts with load limiters
and ABS, etc. With all these features, the Chevrolet Beat is a highly
reliable and efficient car.
