Nissan Micra is a supermini hatchback produced by Nissan Motors

Nissan Micra is a supermini hatchback produced by Nissan Motors since 1982. From then onwards, Micra has got a number of facelifts and upgrades.  The current model is the Micra K13 which was released in the Indian market in July 2010. The manufacturing plant of Nissan Motors is located in Chennai which has a total capacity of producing 4 lac car units per year. However, the company initially produced 2 lac car units per year. The car was initially released with three petrol variants namely, Micra E, Micra XL and Micra XV, with 5 speed manual transmission. All the variants are powered by a 1.2L 1198cc, DOHC, 12 valve, 13 cylinder engine that produces a power of 76PS @ 6000rpm. A diesel version of the hatchback was released later which is powered by a 1.5L SOHC, 8 valve, 4 cylinder, common rail diesel engine with 5 speed manual transmission. This engine produces a power of 64 PS at 4000rpm. The diesel engine has been found to be more powerful than the petrol versions. The diesel version further has two variants  namely, Micra VX and Micra VX Premium.


The Nissan Micra comes with all the standard advanced featurs that are present in a c- segment sedan of the same make. With all those features, crisp interiors, compact nature, attractive design and quality, one can say that this a complete package. What’s notable is the incorporation of th V-platform that contributes to the car’s safety aspect. The car is also equipped with the other safety features like air bags, ABS and EBD with brake assist and immobilizer.
