Nissan Sunny was
launched in the Indian market in September 2011. Initially, only a petrol
version was launched. Later, Nissan Motors released its diesel version in
December 2011. There are totally three variants available, of which one is a
petrol variant and the other two are diesel versions. Sunny is manufactured in
India itself at their Chennai plant. The petrol version is powered by a 1.5L 4
cylinder 16 valve engine that produces a power of 100Ps. Both the diesel
variants are powered by a 1.5L 4 cylinder K9K engine that produces a
power of 86PS at 3750rpm. Both the petrol and diesel engines are coupled with a
5 speed gear box with manual transmission. With its gleaming exteriors and
luxurious exteriors, Sunny is definitely an eye-cathcher. The large headlamps,
separate fog lamp clusters, front smiling grille and lower air intake, the
Nissan has a robust as well as sporty appearance. To add to the sporty look,
there are body coloured rear view mirrors, body coloured mud flaps, door
handles and bumper. It has an unusual rear design with unique tail
lamp cluster.
Plush interiors,
pleasant colours and advanced features are the characteristics of the Nissan
Sunny. The car is equipped with power steering, CD/mp3 player with 4 speakers,
power windows, powered ORVM’s, manual HVAC and automatic climate control
system, glovebox, keyless entry system, push button start/stop system, rear
centre armrest with cup holders, overhead console box, driver seat adjustment,
etc. The three models of Nissan Sunny are Nissan Sunny XE, Sunny XL and Sunny
XV. These models are available in both petrol and diesel versions.
